Information resources for each company are very important assets used in the current business. The performance of the company depends on its respective security.

This entails, among others, their prevention against their loss as a result of random events related to the hardware failure or break-in.

Within the scope of data archiving services we offer:

  • Backup - a copy of the data, eg. employees' databases in a given time point. A copy is always transferred to different than the source data location. Data can be transferred directly to the streamer attached to a server or by network: LAN, Fiber Channel, iSCSI, FICON, etc. to disk and streamer to a distant location.
  • Archiving - data deleting from the source location and coping them to the target location. This means that archiving relieves the space of the source location. For example, database archiving means that the database management software brings the old records from the database to a single file (archive). In turn, a backup system transfers the data to the tape.
  • HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) - data migration to cheaper storage media such as magnetic tapes, DVDs, magneto-optical media. Migration means deletion of data from disk and transfer them to another medium such as a tape. Physical data are replaced by references to these data. We share the data because of the time of storage (retention) and their variability.
  • Backup window - is a time in which backup can be performed without any interfering in the continuity of production. Frequently this is the night. However, there are the ways to backup the systems that must operate 24 hours a day.
